This is the second book by Dr Yap. It was published by him in August 2016. The ISBN is: 978-967-1430-70-5.
The book is a tribute to the author's beloved grandmother, Madam Yong Hiong (1892-1980): an entrepreneur who didn't need to use money to generate revenue.
The book is not for sale. It is presented to people who are contemplating to become entrepreneurs. Corporate and individual sponsors are invited to participate in this social project. Please contact the author for information: rogerckyap@gmail.com. Participants are invited to attend complimentary seminars and workshops conducted by the author. They will be organized by the NGOs and the schools.
The book is divided into six sections. Each section consists of different entrepreneurial ideas with the respective financial investment. Each idea has the following headings: Image(s) (wherever applicable for easy comprehension); Description; Technical / Academic / Statutory Requirements; Strategies to Seek Consumers or Clients; Amount to Charge; and Future Prospects.
The book has two extra topics: 1. Who is a Successful Entrepreneur? 2. How to Sell a Product or Service via the Internet. In the Appendix Section, the following illustrations are included: 1) Monthly Cash-Flow Statement (Excel-Formatted); 2) Quotation; 3) Payment Advice; 4) Delivery Order; and 5) Warranty Certificate.
The author is inspired by the stories of many successful billionaire entrepreneurs who began with very humble business ideas. He has always wanted to write an entrepreneur book but didn't have any exciting perspective to embark on, until early 2016...
The idea to write this simple book was triggered in early 2016 by media news of university students being admitted to the hospitals for undernourishment. The reason was due to irregular meals as they didn't have pocket money to buy food. The sad news inspired the author to complete the book within three months. His cousin brother and associates contributed many entrepreneur ideas. He is indeed grateful to them.
